Over mij

I am a graduate student of the Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade and a teaching fellow at the Dutch Language and Literature Department. Besides, I am also an active translator of non-fiction and graphic novels. My research and teaching interests include translating culture and cultural meanings, cultural and intercultural aspects in literary translations, as well as cultural awareness and intercultural competence in the foreign language classroom.

Three-day workshop in Literary Translation organized by The Dutch Foundation for Literature in Belgrade, Serbia. During the workshop participants worked on a translation of two novels: Herman Koch (Het diner) and Dimitri Verhulst (De helaasheid der dingen).
Dutch to Serbian/Croatian Literary Translation Workshop

Three-day workshop in Literary Translation organized by The Dutch Foundation for Literature in Rijeka, Croatia. During the workshop participants worked on a translation of the novels Huis voor het hiernamaals by Guido Snel.
IBN TIBBON Translation Studies Doctoral and Teacher Training Summer School Granada, Spain

A joint initiative of 5 universities: University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), University of Turku (Finland), University of Tampere (Finland), University of Granada (Spain) and Boğaziçi University (Turkey). The main focus and the aim of the summer school were on the contemporary research of literary and non-literary works from a historical perspective.
