Guillaume has been working as a translator from Dutch and English into French since 2002. Apart from his Master's degree in Translation (University of Mons, Belgium), Guillaume holds a Specialized Master's degree in Translation Studies (ULB, Brussels). He took further training in literary translation at the Centre européen de traduction littéraire (CETL) and took part in numerous literary translation workshops in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Paris.

Guillaume translates fiction, non-fiction and youth literature. He is a.o. the French translator of best-selling Dutch author Simone van der Vlugt (historical novels), Dutch author and theatre director Martin Michael Driessen ('De heilige', Philippe Rey) and Dutch historian Geert Mak (Great Expectations, Gallimard).

In 2017, Guillaume was selected for the Prix Révélation de Traduction of the Société des Gens de Lettres (Paris) for his translation into French of the Dutch novel 'Belangrijk is dat ik niet aan lezers denk' by A.L. Snijders (Éditions de l'Observatoire). He is also the first-prize winner of the Saint-Jerome Award of the United Nations (2019) and the second-prize winner of that same Award in 2020. His translation of Simone van der Vlugt’s 'Midnight Blue' (Philippe Rey) was selected for the Euregio Literary Award 2021.
