Over mij

Irina Leichenko (b. 1981) has lived in the Netherlands since 2006. In 2009 she graduated as a translator from Dutch into Russian and she has worked as a legal translator since then. She translates fiction, nonfiction, children’s literature and works of drama from both Dutch and English into Russian. She has translated works by such Dutch authors as Tommy Wieringa, Jan Brokken, Peer Wittenbols and Edward van de Vendel. In 2015, her translation of Zusya on the Roof, a story by Nicole Krauss, was nominated for the Nora Gal Prize for the best translation of short prose from English into Russian.
