Over mij

After studying German and Dutch at Liverpool University I lost my heart to a Dutchman and settled in the Netherlands. For many years I worked at the foreign ministry in The Hague, where I translated speeches for the Dutch king, prime minister and other ministers, as well as diplomatic correspondence and speaking notes for meetings of heads of state.

In 2007 I was approved as a literary translator by the Dutch Foundation for Literature, and have since translated seven books, both fiction and nonfiction, as well as many short stories.
